The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Consultant will be responsible for delivering functional expertise across Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) implementations and support. The role involves engaging with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translating them into functional system designs aligned with best practices.
Key responsibilities include configuring core SCM modules such as Procurement and Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Master Planning. The consultant will support end-to-end implementation activities, including solution design, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
The consultant will analyze existing supply chain processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend system-driven improvements to enhance operational performance. Participation in data migration activities-such as data mapping, validation, and reconciliation-is also required to ensure data integrity.
In addition, the role involves collaborating with technical teams on integrations, customizations, and reporting requirements. The consultant will support user adoption through training sessions, workshops, and comprehensive documentation.
Ongoing responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, providing functional support, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to project timelines and governance standards are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of ERP consulting experience, with at least 3-5 years focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), specifically within Supply Chain Management modules. Proven experience in configuring and implementing D365 SCM solutions is essential.
Candidates should have hands-on expertise in key supply chain areas, including procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, production control, and master planning. Experience across full project lifecycles-requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and support-is highly desirable.
Strong business process knowledge in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or retail is important. The ability to map business needs to system capabilities and recommend improvements is critical for this role.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging both technical and business stakeholders is required. Familiarity with system integrations, data migration processes, and reporting tools like Power BI is advantageous.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced contract environment. Experience with cloud environments and the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, will be beneficial.
A relevant bachelor's degree is typically required for this role, preferably in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. A qualification in Information Technology provides a foundation for understanding ERP systems and technical environments, while a supply chain-focused degree supports strong business process knowledge.
Professional certifications are highly desirable. Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications, particularly the Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant certification (e.g., MB-330 or equivalent), are strongly preferred and demonstrate validated expertise.
Additional certifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) are advantageous, as they indicate familiarity with the broader Microsoft ecosystem. Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile/Scrum) are also beneficial.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development to stay up to date with evolving Dynamics 365 features and cloud technologies.
In addition to formal education, practical experience in ERP or supply chain environments is essential. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills are critical for successfully delivering and supporting Dynamics 365 SCM solutions.
